Carl Wilkinson is a freelance writer and photographer. He has written on a range of subjects including the current music scene in New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina, ice driving in the Arctic Circle, the Bardi people of North West Australia, and the growth in public libraries in Colombia. He has written for The Times, The Telegraph, The FT and GQ amongst other publications and has recently edited The Observer Books series – a series of paperback books published each month with The Observer which covered subjects as diverse as Money, Film, Music and Space.
